Michigan family’s German Shepherd dogs killed by downed power line in backyard - MLive.com
DETROIT – Two German Shepherd dogs were killed by a downed power line on Wednesday during the ice storm that walloped southeast Michigan, FOX 2 Detroit reports.
The dogs, Legend and Pharoah, were electrocuted when they got too close to the live wire in the backyard of their family's Detroit home, the report said.

"My dog was on fire," the owner told FOX 2. "I've had them since they were six weeks, and they were going on two now. And they were brothers. We are going to miss Legend and Pharoah."
High winds and heavy ice caused power outages across southern Michigan overnight. DTE is reporting more than 500,000 customers without power in Metro Detroit. If you see a downed power line, assume it is live and stay at least 25 feet away.
